We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of Sekya Smith, a beloved member of the Stewart Center Youth Group. Sekya was a natural leader – charismatic, respectful, and full of promise.
Sekya joined the Stewart Center during elementary school and participated in our after-school, summer camp, and youth programs. A dedicated member of the Carver High School basketball team, she was on track to graduate in 2025.
Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. We will miss her jokes, her athletic talent, and her ability to talk others into doing WHATEVER she wanted! Our thoughts and prayers are with Sekya’s family and friends during this difficult time.
Rest in peace, Sekya. You will forever be a part of the Stewart Center family.
