The City of Atlanta Department of Parks and Recreation is offering a Lifeguard Training Program for youth ages 15 and up. Participants will complete American Red Cross lifeguard certification training, including online coursework and in-person instruction focused on water safety, rescue skills, and emergency response. This program prepares entry-level lifeguards with the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic, breathing, and cardiac emergencies.
Participants who successfully complete the course may be eligible for employment with the City of Atlanta. Class capacity is limited to 20 participants per session.
