EDUCATION

OBJECTIVE

Our education programs support students’ academic achievement, foster character growth, and establish enduring relationships with families in order to promote well- being through family and community stability.

PROGRAMS

After School Program
As the Kindezi School’s exclusive After School partner, The Stewart Center serves over 200 Pre-K through 5th grade students each day in the Pittsburgh Community of Atlanta. Along with homework help and tutoring, students are able to select a Studio to participate in for the school year. These studios include Journalism, Theater, and Computer Science.

Summer Camp
The Center’s day camps last two months and engages over 100 children in experiential learning opportunities that focus on academic readiness, spiritual growth and emotional maturity. The children participate in a VBS type curriculum along with a reading program, art, music, recreation and educational travel.

Youth Program
The youth program works to build young leaders by providing opportunities for academic enrichment, spiritual growth, and character development for 6th-12th graders.

  • The students participate in extracurricular academic projects, educational travel, leadership development, and service opportunities. At the end of each academic year, the students that have met the program’s standards earn an end-of-year trip. In the past, we have traveled to Washington D.C., NYC, Charleston, Denver, Philly, The Grand Canyon, and Boston.
  • In conjunction with the leadership development component, 6-8 high school students are selected and hired to serve as assistant counselors during our After School Program and Summer Camp each year.
